Red Dress Gala 2015 was a Success!

2015 Texas Alpha Phi Executive Board

Our eighth annual Red Dress Gala on November 6th, 2015 at the Downtown Hilton was a complete success! During this philanthropic event there were both silent and live auctions, entertainment, drinks, and an incredible dinner. And with such an awesome turnout and auction items that were beyond reproach, it wasn’t surprising that we surpassed the amount raised in previous years. Some of the best selling items were the Yeti cooler with its gameday goodies; the UT wine lovers basket; the George Strait autographed guitar; and of course the signed baseball from the Houston Astros that came with a picture of the team holding up the Alpha Phi hand sign.

We were truly blessed this year to not only have a great event, but to have fabulous guests willing to donate to such a great cause! In addition to the auctions, a “Fund a Need” was held. This allowed individuals during the event to give levels of monetary donations to the Omega chapter of Alpha Phi, which would be used to teach those in the community about CPR rescue procedures and cardiac care. Between the “Fund a Need” donations, as well as the auctions, the Omega chapter raised a total of $37,000, which will go toward the Alpha Phi Foundation and heart health education.

If you were unable to attend this year’s Red Dress Gala, but would like to make a direct contribution to our fundraising efforts, you can still donate on the Alpha Phi Foundation website. Any contribution is much appreciated from both the Omega Chapter, and the Alpha Phi Foundation.

We want to say thank you to everyone who attended the event, or donated online. Additionally, a big thank you goes out to Anneke Rood, Colleen Sirhal, Meredith Daly, and Rachel Rugeley who made Red Dress Gala possible.

Thank you.
