Who Is Coming and What Is Going On?
To date, we have about 300 guests attending the Friday night Cocktail Reception, 350 attending the Saturday Brunch, and 300 attending the Saturday evening Dinner.   We have ladies coming from 26 states and the District of Columbia – as far away as Germany and as close as 2005 University Avenue.  We have women from graduating classes as early as 1952 to as recent as last year.

Blood Drive:  In a fun coincidence, February 29, 2020 has been designated as the first-ever Alpha Phi Day of Service.  Alpha Phi International is hosting five blood drives across the country and has encouraged collegiate and alumnae chapters to host others over the same weekend.  As such, we will be having a mobile blood donation truck parked right outside the House during the Brunch.  Please plan to donate if you are able to, and join us in supporting this important effort.

To register, visit the “We Are Blood” website.

Centennial Cookbook:  Thank you to everyone who helped us find recipes from their time at the House.  We have compiled an Omega Centennial Cookbook.  The cookbook contains 119 recipes over 80 pages, including at least one handwritten recipe in each section.   Everyone attending the Saturday Brunch will receive one.  The Brunch menu may even include one or two of these recipes!    If we have any left after the Brunch, we will offer them for sale.  We already have 15 on that waiting list.  If you would like to buy a cookbook if available, please send a note to: utalphaphihcb@gmail.com.

Centennial BoutiqueWe will of course be offering some shopping opportunities at both the Friday night Cocktail Party and the Saturday Celebration Dinner.  If you have not bought one of our ornaments or t-shirts, now is your chance.

There will be other items for sale, including earrings made just for us by Louisiana-based jewelry designer Kat Noel.

Slide Show:  Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed over 400 photos of their collegiate days and more current reunions with their sisters.  These will be part of a continuous loop slide show at the Saturday night Dinner.   How fun is that?!

Silent Auction:  We are so thankful for the many items donated for our Silent Auction to be held at the dinner on Saturday night.  These are just a few items to pique your interest:

An 11 x 14 inch oil painting of the Rio Grande del Norte, painted and donated by Omega alum Judi Beauford.

A signed first edition of Ruffles and Flourishes, authored by Omega alum Liz Carpenter, Press Secretary and staff director to Lady Bird Johnson in the White House.  Donated by Alice Hatfield.

An Oscar de la Renta lily of the valley pin donated by Spring Frost boutique and solicited by Charlotte Plemmons Warren.

We will have several more items, including a parking space at the House for all 2020 UT Home Football Games and a Slumber Party weekend at the House.

Loving Cup Ceremony:  Saturday night’s dinner will conclude with a Loving Cup ceremony.  Don’t worry – we’ll have the words ready for you!

Making New Memories:  A mirror photo booth will be set up during the dinner on Saturday night.  In addition, a roving photographer will be on hand at all three events to capture the excitement and new memories being made. (Everyone say “Photo Tech!!”)  Photos from both the mirror booth and the photographer will be available for guests to download free of charge.

Don’t Miss Out!!
Please join us as we celebrate the wonderful friendships, cherished memories and lasting legacy we’ve each made by being part of the first 100 years of the Omega Chapter of Alpha Phi.  We cannot wait to see you!
